The Department of Microbiology of Kingston College of Science (KCS), a unit of Kingston Educational Institute, has organized a Webinar on “Breast Cancer as a Cancer stem cell disease: From Origin to Targeted Therapy” on 9.04.2021 with Dr. Arunima Biswas, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, University of Kalyani as an eminent speaker and Dr. Pritha Pal, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Microbiology, Kingston College of Science as a moderator. Dr. Biswas very efficiently and perfectly elaborated what breast cancer is, how it is a stem cell disease, what are the different ways by which the world is thinking about cattling breast cancer all over the world and how exactly the stem cell is important in this context in a simple and lucid language. The webinar was very informative providing us with an introduction to breast cancer and stem cell to different statistics and data. A clear picture about cancer and its research and what the world is thinking about its recovery was portrayed. The queries from the audience were flawlessly met by our esteemed speaker Dr. Arunima Biswas raising the bar of the webinar.
